If say Ford started to reproduce the Sierra Cosworth for example, would you buy one? It doesn't have to be an high performance make/model, any vehicle from the past that you really fancied but couldn't have at the time. OK, I get that manufactures have to follow certain rules/regs to make a vehicle road legal now, emissions, air bags etc but surely that could be done without disturbing the overall size/look of the original version??
We currently have BMW's version of the Mini, which is nothing much like the original in my eyes, Fiat's 500 is certainly closer in size but still a miss in my opinion.
I'm into motorcycles too, Suzuki brought out the Katana this year, again it's not like the original version really.
What do you chaps think, would basically a direct copy of X vehicle sell better than these half hashed attempts? And why haven't any of them done it??
