There will be a pie-key doing the rounds and he will crash the van when he spots that lot in your garden !

Everything on the drive is covered with heavy tarpaulins and roped down. Nothing can be moved without a big hiab as the average hiab wouldn't have the lifting power or the reach. Plus my car sits in front of that lot sides ways. Also I took a lot of time placing the machines in a way that in order to get to one you need to move the lot....

Got it about a year ago as a stop gap Spencer and was going to get rid of it because it can only move single bits of kit about. That crane has been so useful its earned its place and can stay.

Today or actually last night I received a working dyson as a follow on from my last today I acquired post bought a new 3000 amp battery from a recommendation from a mate that bought one 6 months ago and still working battery from ebay seller

And bought a new wall hanger all in cost £30

Had 2 wildlife gardening books delivered to work yesterday, which some kind soul left in the cab for me:



Found a Hiab outrigger spreader pad laid by the A66 near Stainmoor cafe:



Stopped for a break by the A75, enroute to Cairnryan for the 16.30 ferry over to Norn Iron, and acquired this gorgeous view over Wigtown Bay:




Then while I was having a pot of coffee and a cheese wrap, I heard an insistent squeaking which I assumed was a bird trapped in something man-made. How wrong was I!




Not the best of shots, but just below the tussock of grass in the centre of the shot is an Otter pup. Sat and watched it for 5 minutes, and I'm chuffed to bits to have seen it.

Today I treated myself to a 2.2lb lump hammer from Stax

I’ve had the same hammer for the last 20 years but I split the shaft when I stupidly ran over it!!!

my dad bought me first hammer when I was 16 after I had completed 3 months of my apprenticeship along with many other tools, the hammer was one of the few remaining as the majority were cheap ‘make do’s’ until I could afford better gear.

I think these hammers are weighted just right and you can get a right good swing on it when chiselling off mono bolt heads of the like

Talk with Ardy & his MIS gangs ,. they might make you a 20 inch shaft of British ash if you ask nicely & cross their palms with beer tokens or similar .

Do you have 3 phase or planning lots of VFD type devices ?

Those old Snow surface grinders have a seriously good reputation. There is one on ebay at the moment for not much money.
