I have plenty of micrometers and verniers etc, but the only protractor i have is a ratty old mitutoyo someone gave me. I have been trying to buy one but they go for stupid money. Anyway i spotted this one made by Granlund in Sweden. I paid very little for it, and it is a quality bit of kit. The only issue i can see is it has no way of locking the blade when you have it at the angle you want. Maybe the two black screw lock it, i will try tomorrow.

For scale the blade is about 12" long.

I've seen a similar protractor before, where the screw in the center ring had a tapered base so that when tightening the knurled nut the screw expanded the center ring and tightened it to the frame.

You are correct Arc tourist, i tightened it a bit further and it locks it up
