The owner said it works ,and on the next week I should be able to take a look and try before to acquire

Yesterday I acquired more items to be restored.



One Petrol Style Foam can, but this came with extras. More of that at the end.



Twin burner Paraffin cooker. I will be on the beg for wicks.


2 Hand crank grinders. One day I may find this "electricity" people talk about.




My friend also seams to have a side line in "Exporting holes". I have enough to fill the albert hall.

See if Ardy has a hand masonry breast drill that has reduction gears

You didn't specify it was to be in the same axis . Look for an epicyclic reduction gear shaft . ..you lock the outer ring to some thing to get what ever reduction it has ........ they are very strong .
What do you want it for ? What will you be driving it with electric motor … 12, 24 , 48 volt etc , engine , steam , treadwheel ?

couple of angle grinder gearboxes?

Considered them but not suitable. The hand crank grinders give a reduction or multiplication of around 16/1.

Thanks, I wasn’t expecting to need premises just yet but when I saw these I couldn’t let them go. Gives me reason to keep on grafting hard now I have another overhead !!

First one, was a new freezer. The old one after a long service was no longer a freezer.



Curries, was local and they had a unit that fitted and in stock. Shame the staff at Trowbridge shop were as much use as an ash tray on a motorcycle. 37 minutes before I was served. despite 6 members of staff standing around. I even asked the staff 5 times.

Nice to have.
A Vax and a Dyson. Both work, free.

Oh I made sure the manager was informed how lazy his staff was. On the shop floor, by the tills with 4 staff members still discussing the weather as customers stood around waiting. He tried to walk away and I let him know how rude he was being.

But I needed a freezer and they had one I wanted in stock. The nearest place I could source one was a 50 mile round trip.

I ended up with a 20% discount. Well refunded on to my bank card.

I've been running round collecting Mrs Robo's Shpock and FB marketplace "bargains", today it was a cooker, sideboard and coatrack, I won't post photo's

On a positive note, I also picked up an Ebay win, a nice little Villiers D15 (150cc) engine which I got for the 99p starting price

Very cool, I had a very similar BSA one that a friend bought off me and now has sat in his lounge next to the TV.
