get it welded back up. it could be plated as well to stiffen it up
I might give it a go and weld it although I doubt if it will be as strong as before.

If the bush is a bearing material then no reason not to use steelI seen a guy in America, on youtube replacing the bush in the scotch yoke on a shaper, it was bronze bush that sits on the pin in the bull wheel. I don't see why you could not use steel, especially in a small lightly used machine like the 10m.
