I'd be a roadblock.
Don't let people push me faster.

Lots of car.drivers have naff all idea about driving a large van let along lorries and expect us to do the same speeds as them.

Just been looking at 12v diesel ones there not that cheap

How about a 12v gas boiler and hot water on command and underfloor heating or a radiator?

I’m still wearing shorts to work

I have a moaning sorry soft gf so when I get round to it I’m going to need heating in my van(after dozens of other projects get finished first)

Try that here, this is it first thing this morning - freezing fog! It's a bit early for that yet, I hope it's not a portend of things to come this Winter. And the frost is only lifting where the sun's getting directly to it.

If you fit a 240v system you can just use an oil filled radiator when plugged in at a site. It's what I am using right now in my caravan so I don't use up my gas bottle. It means I can keep using the caravan all year round.

Cheers bert. For now I'm concentrating on the basics to qualify for camper insurance. But i really like that idea.

Gou sell an extension lead under £30 with rcbs and domestic sockets at van end. I might just buy that. Good advice mate, thanks

It’s all I use I’m my campervan as well. One of the small ones 800 watt? Is enough even in the really cold weather. I have a diesel heater fitted if out somewhere, but winter time always go where we can hook up.

Slightly OT, I went to collect a welder from the importer near Droitwich in the middle of a freezing February, there were 2 guys in the workshop (which was open to the elements) wearing shorts I asked the bloke I was seeing what was going on, apparently the previous summer about 20 workers had put a tenner each into a pot and the winner would be the last one wearing shorts
