When you get the flexi duct I might have to ask you a few questions about it, mostly regarding the flexibility & strength. I want to connect the the dust extractor at the Men's Shed & I'm trying to find something suitable to go to the portable machines. You can buy proper extractor flexi duct but it's a crazy price, that stuff is a lot cheaper.
Normally such ducting should all be metal based and earthed out . Should anything happen untoward and a claim is in the offing the insurers will go to town big time to prove it was your fault .
You might need to think of a hose with a fixed bare copper grounding wire running through itand the same within the pipe work ie all joints connected with a earthing strip so you don't get a near fatal static electricity build up and /or an explosive discharge / ignition in the pipes & outside when there is the right amount of dust to air ratio. It happened in the carpentry unit adjacent to our plant hire business ..the explosion & fire took out several other units in the same block as well .

first attempt at steel was to hot.
But I did managed to cast enough metal to make a hammer.

Yes, there is a chance, no community chest through.

Yes it is simple.
Yes it is crude.
But for a cast lump of steel, with a hole in it. Plus a successful cast at home it is not bad.
Pitting, may be from the damp in the mould. But I have had damper moulds since.
Metal, could be, it was from a wrecked Fiat engine. Plus it was a mixed grade metal.
Would I cast steel again at home.
No.
Have I done it since at my bigger place?
Yes.
For the simple reasons I have nice neighbours.
As a prove of concept it worked.
Plus it cost me only the power for the fan and the outside lamp.

Today I acquired.
1. A place to chat before a drive home. Thank you @DAPPH
2. Plastic bags.
3. A Machine vice.
This was given to me to allow me to help others. To that end I plan to lend it to a Mini Shed, to allow others to start a tool collection.
4. A Bucket of turn able plastic.
Ideas have bean muted on their future. It is looking bright.
Finally I acquired some hands on knowledge on how to get the best from a Tilley.
@DAPPH Your help and experience showed me abetter way to light this beastie.
1 pump, it worked.
You can just see the new mantle burning and going white.
Taken from a distance as the body had developed a new leak.
But we were ready to act if it went wrong.

Will do, once I get it installed. I'll probably make a couple of sheet metal ends to slip over the exhausts to prevent undue wear and tear on the flexy. Like you, I've been gobsmacked at the prices of the proper stuff. If this stuff lasts for a few years it's cheap enough to replace.
A couple of years back I missed out on some ex-MoD pukka exhaust extractor flexies at one of the surplus places. Usual story, skint when it came up.

I'm not fanatical about it but I do what I can to reduce variability. I batch brass and bullets by manufacturer and weight, fire-form and then neck size brass, trim to consistent length and use a collet crimper
