I want to split 3 of my internal doors up the middle to make "french" door styles on some cupboards so we can utilise the hall space better.
The doors are solid wood and an old unavailable imperial size so replacement is not an option right now.
I'm looking at options for doing so...I don't have a track saw so I'll be doing it with a fine tooth circular saw probably running up the side of a long spirit level.
Option 1 - cut straight up the middle...easy, but a little lazy
Option 2 - cut up the middle but with the saw at 45°...should make things a little neater.
Option 3 - cut up the middle and create an overlapping rebate with some new strips of wood...neatest but most work.
Option 4..?
Anyone done this before? Any other options I'm missing?
