Well, it works ok , it's new : ) My fluke ,with open style jaws is not so good now.
The lap has been consistent on current as well but I was just con checking , replacing melted cables.

I know. Its the 2nd I have bought off him. Last was a Bott. Seems they came from Airbus.
If they get rid of stuff you give a small donation to charity.

Skil 77hd worm drive saw. Paid sensible money via eBay global seller program. Came with a new blade. It's a wonderful saw, provided you aren't a safety Nazi, and are right handed. The gearbox and motor are so quiet.

Tons on eBay.. I paid about £100 delivered including all duties and taxes, prepaid through GSPbeen after one of those for a while..

I might have to venture into it.

I've got the DeWalt xrp tracksaw that I run with 18v lithium xrp batteries, its a damn good saw. I imagine the same body with the flexvolt will be a power house. Hilti used to do a worm drive track saw that was 36v lithium. They're 80-100 quid used on ebay

Got a model No for the dewalt 18V tracksaw mate.
Googling yesterday the only option I had for dewalt was flexvolt.
18v would do me. Only cutting 18mm chipboard.

Best saw ever made. The blade is on the correct side for us right handed folk. Mine is still running faithfully after forty years
. Check the oil level on the gearbox, there is a plug at the front of the motor, use 90wt gear oil. The saw is designed to work at 110v / 60hz , but I haven't had any issues using it here in the UK with 50hz from my 240 > 110 transformer.Did you get the ripping guide with your saw ?

Yes and no.
My dewalt cordless has the same blade mounting.
Great for vision if your cutting a lot off but if your just taking a sliver there's no base to support and have to attack it from the other side making it near impossible to hold the workpiece while you cut.
