Hi.
Juat wondering if I could get everyone's advice on the best products to use on classic cars after rest has been removed, (mainly the underside on cars).
I'm currently restoring a volvo 340, and doing some rust repair on my daily 940, I'm both cases I want a good strong and permanent coating of primer and paint.
I normally remove the rust with either a wire wheel, grinder with a flap disc or acid, then give it a coat of 2k epoxy primer (think its called noval?) and then some form of Base coat.
But I've recently fell out with the epoxy primer after painting some brakes and the paint and primer was chipping off very easy (I also used 2k black for the first time).
So what's the best products to use? And is there anything to use on the metal to help the primer key to the bare metal, obviously I kethink the surface manually, but maybe last time I didn't key it well enough?
Thanks
Ryan
