The link at the start of the thread is broken now...updated ad's on ebay
I'm not on the payroll but I must say Rob is one of the most enthusiastic, capable and genuine guys I have had the pleasure of meeting.
What you see with Rob is exactly what you getThat's exactly how he came across to me as well. Really nice genuine chap.
I have had mine for a fortnight now and have still not really switched it on. Mainly down to this thing called work which get in the way most of the time but also due to the fact I had not anticipated the adjustments I would need to make to the workshop.
The biggest gotcha for me was "How to load the table" ( a 2m x 1m sheet 8mm weighs 125kg) I initially thought a magnet and the digger would do. After nearly taking the roof out I decided to move on to plan B and found a small jib crane on ebay. I am picking it up next week.
Now getting a jib crane is a great idea and to use it only for feeding the plasma would be wasteful. If I put it in just the right spot I could use it for loading the lathe as well.... Damm, that requires a complete reshuffle of the workshop......
I will get there - in the end

I am getting there, Jib crane is now in place and just needs some power (3 phase) running from the other side of the workshop.
I made a few shims from some 1mm sheet off cuts I had laying around to level up the column. Not sure why 3 of the corners came out rounded, did not matter for this job but I need to know for next time.
Next job - move the compressor outside and build a sheet storage rack.

I got mine with a Hypertherm 45 and I knew from day one that I would have to swap it out for something larger. After much research I decided to go down the Oxford Cutmaker 700 route due to lack of 3 phase supply. Anyway its due to arrive next week and I have got the feeling I might just stretch Robs aftersales service a bitThe only thing I will be changing on my table is swapping out the R Tech plasma cutter at some point. I already have my Hypertherm 45xp and the consumables are more hardy, just waiting for a machine torch to crop up at a decent price Badger
Mine is coming with a Binzel Ex-Trafire 40SD which Rob assures me is every bit as good as the Hypertherm 45XP. Time will tell.
I have the TecArc OptiCut 65 which is made by the same people as the Oxford is. It is a nice machine and cuts way above what you would expect of a similar rated machine. It is bulkier and heavier than an Inverter based machine but if it is connected to a CNC table most of the time then that doesn't matter.I got mine with a Hypertherm 45 and I knew from day one that I would have to swap it out for something larger.
