can enyone direct me where can i buy that pulse transformer. manufaturer doesnt sell that model anymore and indutron that also makes vac transformers doesnt reply to my emails...help anyone?

There was a lot of ESAB stuff in that era of machines that quickly moved on to the next generation as it were. They bought enough spares to support them for the 5 year phase out then when they were gone they were gone. The reason they did it wasn’t just to give things a new look it was because a number of components used on the boards and spares just like the ones you want became unobtainable. Manufacturers stopped making a lot of the spares so machines needed to be made obsolete. There still may be boards or parts for that in stock. Unlikely but possible.

The pulse transformer looks to have 6 terminals - could be one primary and two secondaries, feeding pulses to two SCRs ?

i know this is an old thread, but is there any chance, that you have a picture of the small transformer inside the welder, the one next to the gas valve?
i just bought one of these machines and that transformer is blown, and there is no info on the one in mine

Can you trace the origin of the wires that feed the primary of that small transformer, and the destination of it's secondary output, and also provide a photo of the failed one ( in situ ) ?

I got 2 of these machines scrapped some weeks ago.
If you send some pictures of your transformer i will have a look into my collection.

The primary side goes to the line voltage wich is 400v, and the secondary wich is 42v, goes to the HF unit, the gas valve, and to one of the boards in the machine
The primary side has 2 coils connected together to make an output for the coolant pump
But i don't know if this is the original one, or if someone tried to make one

A DTE2-50 is a Swedisch machine. The DTM 250 is produced by L-Tec in Germany. They used a powermodul of EWM to make a ac/dc machine. So complete different

I got such a transformer here.
As I remember it is 42 isolated secondary.
Which side on yours is burned?
Primary or sec?

yes, and there is no problem with them, so i wonder if the transformer in my machine is build wrong, by someone else then esab, also there is no labels or numbers on it except for voltage on the terminals

This is what happened with the primary side of the transformer, and i took it apart, rewound it, put power to the primary side, and then it got very hot and started smoking, and used the exact same wire size, and same amount of turns
