Yes the Riverside Tavern is very close by. It’s well known locally as a ‘special’ pub. I had an interesting New Year there once. I got felt up by a bloke and a bird that night!

Actually, one of the blokes there was a drag queen. Without his heels he was well over 6 foot, but with the heels and big hair he must have been nigh on 7 feet tall!
Evidently he was some sort of mechanical engineer, and had been on Scrap Heap Challenge at some point. A proper interesting bloke!

I've had a reply from John (Sovietsub) and he has suggested Sunday 27th Jan for the group visit. Obviously the weather may have other ideas but hopefully this works for most.
I know there were a few guys looking to come down from Manchester so send me a PM and I might be able to sort out somewhere to stay on the Saturday night

There's a Premier Inn (Victory pier, Chatham ME4 4TZ) which is right next to Chatham dock yards if you fancy doing the Dockyards & a British submarine on the Saturday - prices look quite cheap at the moment.
There's an outlet centre with a few bars & restaurants nearby too if we fancy a meet up on Saturday. Unless people would rather go to the Riverside Tavern
