Arrived today, a LeMat replica Denix pistol.

I’ve been getting several enquiries regarding holsters to fit this gun, in other than the American Army flap style. I decided it was time to buy one just to make sure my holster dimensions are right. It’s easier to fettle a flap or mexican holster to fit than the more ‘tarty’ ones.

It may be a replica, but it’s heavy, and big (hand added for scale).

A big old mystery.

It’s made by Parker Hale, it comes in two bits and makes a 1.7m ish rod. It’s 10mm square bar. Anyone know? It was free from a skip, I reckoned if it was made in England it must be good steel!

He was lightly sedated so is now totally spaced out; he hates the vet and was (Project Management took him after lunch) shaking like a leaf...

I found this machined bar in the bin at uni and thought it was worth having, some lathe practice could be had etc. I got the grinder going today and reached for some scrap to test on it and found this - oh, it’s brass! No idea what idiot threw this away... but I’m glad they did
