True but whilst it’s not difficult for some it is for others even if they try, not everyone is wired the same or wants to train their brain. I can remember all my passwords using similar techniques as you but my 70 year old parents and the thousands of fraud victims I see pass across my desk find multiple passwords and security questions very difficult to retain.

Its like depression....its not 'real' until you have experienced it.
I can remember the reg number of my dads cars.....i cant remember some things i did last week until next month.
There is a small number of people for whom this would be a serious difficulty. Some would find memory tricks and be able to do it. For the majority that can't it is convenience de-skilling.
Generations that grew up without this technology do struggle, but you will find they have much better memory of their lives because they grew up in an age before search engines so they remembered what they learnt. It has been proven that people absorb and retain more info if you tell then at the start they will be questioned on it and not have access to the internet (true fact).
Something like that could be a great part of a memory trick. Those coupled with something people who knew you and your dad wouldn't know.
I am aware its a scam mate. I dont have a webcam on my pc for a start.lol
There is a cast iron reason i know its a scam as opposed to blackmail.
I am more concerned to see if i can ascertain where they might have got a password i do use from........plus another issue i need to speak to a mod about....without causing panic..

With most things there is very little to gain from someone accessing your account details unless it's your bank. It's more likely they'll use the info to scam you into providing more details which will only happen if you respond or click links.
Another useful tip is to use private/incognito window for important stuff then at least nothing should be remembered.

Also if the last character you typed was a "special character", or something else but before you typed it, you moved your mouse and put it at the start or in the middle of the rest a pure keystroke logger is very unlikely to know the position change so unless what you did to the password is obvious and a human eyeballs it it won't be usable.I was going to post them on here till i thought eh up....i can use these.
(Note putting capital letters first or last or second and same with special characters can be a bit predictable so not best practice)

I use a different email address for every website I register on, and it contains the website name, so it definitely came from there.
But...
Not to say other sites haven't been hacked and emails added to the list.
No password on the one I received.
