I just tried them on some 2mm miled steel and they went through it like it was cardboard and they are supposed to do 3mm in alu so they will do most stuf I needThey look a nice tool.
Yeah they do 3mmHave you found out what thickness Ali they cut , or not got that far yet ?
Very useful tool then. My throat less shear does roughly the same. 1.2mm ss 2mm mild and 3mm alu.I just tried them on some 2mm miled steel and they went through it like it was cardboard and they are supposed to do 3mm in alu so they will do most stuf I need

They only do them in m18 they don't do the sheers in the fuel onesIs it m18 fuel?
None of the above it’s a mechanical manual shear with no throat. Are yours cordless or air
Nice. I bet that set you back a couple of quid. I would probably look into something like that myself. They only do them in m18 they don't do the sheers in the fuel ones
Have you got a picture of yours I was looking at manual ones but didn't think that they would copeNone of the above it’s a mechanical manual shear with no throat.
Not a power tool.
For the bare tool it was 250 it's simler noise to my m18 drill maby a little bit quieter and wit what I used it before it seems easy enough to follow lines and the head can be rotated to make it easier in a tight spotNice. I bet that set you back a couple of quid. I would probably look into something like that myself.
Keep the thread updated with it I’d be interested in knowing what it’s like regarding noise and how easy it is to follow a line free hand.
Manual one is excellent. So easy to follow a scribed line and cut alsorts of shapes and curves out of sheet.Have you got a picture of yours I was looking at manual ones but didn't think that they would cope
I've just been out to try it again and this is what I've ended up with took a bit of time to get the hang of itNice. I bet that set you back a couple of quid. I would probably look into something like that myself.
