At the moment I am one of the fortunate ones. Low cost motor insurance. But, that could change literally over night though no fault of our own.
There are many motorists out there who are being penalised for no fault claims.
To clarify for those not familiar. You are driving along inpecably obeying all the laws of the highway, and someone drives in to the back of you. The driver responsible admits full liability. Up goes your insurance premium at the next renewal. The reason given is that you had a no fault claim. What!?
We are not talking about uninsured drives causing the damage, or hit & runs.
How insurance companies are being allowed to get away with this malpractice I have no idea. I would have thought that there would have been some sort of regulator intervention by now. This is my attempt at highlighting the injustice, while the insurance regulator appears to be turning a blind eye. It is time for change.
