Repaired the bottom of my gate hopefully it will last another 20 years.

Today whilst it's stopped raining I've done some more prep work on my Disco. As you can see the Headlight mount rear panel has rusted through. So I needed to remove it.



Urrgh, tinworm.



It wasn't too bad once it got it off.

Flap disc back to bare metal and as It's outside on my drive I've given it a liberal coating of grease to stop any rust until I can get some weld through primer tommorow. I'll give it a good clean with some panel wipe and degreaser on a rag to clean it up.

Circlip pliers out of 25X5 flat, 6mm bolt for pivot, for a 4" circlip.

A few pieces turned up on the old drumond recently incuding some threading at 1" 12tpi and the tool post drill holder i knocked together and some home made dividing plates

I use Hockey Pucks to save causing paint, underseal and sill damage from jacks and axle stands under vehicles and decided to make a holder for the trolley jacks. Three mild steel scrap bin offcuts Tig welded together, just needs painting when I have a gun on the go.

Finally found sometime today to get the welder plugged back in and do some little projects ive been waiting to do for ages.

First hasnt been on the waiting list for long but it was for SWMBO

Simple but effective coat rack as the old one broke and i wouldnt buy another one (mainly because i knew i could use it to get the welder out for a few hours )




Next was a business card holder for my dad when he does his trade shows, to stop him having to hunt around for them



Its is now all painted up in semi black gloss but the only pictures i took are with his business cards in and i dont want to break any posting rules so you lot can have the raw naked version hahahaha

Hopefully wont be so long before i get another play

Can you guess what it is? Apologies about the poor photo but Dad and I wrapped this up about 1am on Saturday evening / Sunday morning. Not quite finished but got it finished this morning before I left but forgot to take a photo.

It's Mum's Christmas present!

Mk1 with a 1/2hp motor wasn't powerful enough and kept stalling so Mk2 took a small leap to 40hp and lotsa torque .

To give you a hint the American's came up with the Whizz Bang Plucker. I took their idea and adapted it for ducks and added a bit of Welsh sensibleness, i.e. get rid of the electrics near the water and add POWER!!!

Unfortunately broke my WP9 porch , to be fair I should have probably been bothered to get the Wp26 setup but just couldn't be bothered at the time.

Now we just need to wait a year for more ducks, parents have 52 in the freezer so Mum doesn't want anymore this year.

Whats in side, how does it work? (My parents had a game farm, we raised 50 geese per yr for xmas. As kids we got roped in to pluck them; which consisted of dunking in boiling water, the feathers would fall off them, with a pair of rubber gloves on.
