Pocked these up this morning for a tenner.

Don't own a camera but the clamp mount is very useful for my laser level.
Usually use a plasterboard prop and a camera mount for bicycle handlebar mount to give me full height adjustment.
Il be able to clamp to studs easily with this and stand on the deck with fine adjustment now.
Tripods better than my current one so hope it fits in my box.

Had a look at Wickes with the 15% off this weekend, been thinking to get some of the Irwin quick grips. The 250kg 18" rated ones were on clearance with 20% off and the 15% offer applies as well. So got 2x 18" (clearance price was £20 from £25) & 2x 6" versions.

Brilliant clamps. Been using the same for many years. All the others Ive used since feel weedy in comparison. Using them to push pull twisted joints into position a lot. Timbers crap these days.

I picked this little lot up today at the RSPCA attic sale,

A Stanley USA pad saw, mastic gun, small knife, and a 7mm Snap On spanner all for £2.50!
I also got a Toyota branded 10 /12 mm spanner in the deal,
That I'll polish up and stick on my key ring or something .

Treated myself to a new Tmax tyre pump, four times the ltrs per minute of my old one ( which the lads have hijacked) and a 40 minute run time so should be a lot quicker on some of the truck/tractor tyres

Anyone know the name of these fittings? Need to get some sockets that fit these so I can use my pcl twin lock on inflator

Paid $100 for this, not bad considering the stupid prices they go for now, a couple found it hidden in the roof of an old shop they were renovating. It’s in almost perfect condition bar the few chips at the top, though often they indicate whether it’s a repro or not. I’d estimate this is 1950s.

2 parts will be saved.

As they took it away, it fell off. Swift kick saw it under my van.

It has taken a few days, work and life got in the way.



All the old wax, varnish and dirt was removed, first with warm soapy water. Then, I splashed some cash on some Wax & Vanish remover. I would normally use Meth's, but this one needed some extra care.




I then when it was dry and clean I centred it on a lathe and using a green scrub pad I smoothed of the wood. Being very careful not to remove the history of marks, dents and the staining of age.
Then using Bee's wax, donated from a bee keeper gave it a good wax. All done at slow sped on the lathe.





All Done.

I have had a fun day, on Friday and yesterday. Got lots of stuff done. Doesn't look like it.

Striped down, sadly the retain screws were so badly damaged they could not be saved.
New ones are very hard to find, Flea Bay ones are horribly expensive, but I had plans.



Blade cleaned up and handle rubbed back and cleaned of dirt and grime.



Done. Handle varnished, metal work waxed. The teeth were set and sharpened. The teeth did not need that much care.
The handle retaining screws were salvaged from another Spear and Jackson saw, but that one the blade was unable to be saved.

Slim pickings at the car boot today.
Went for a 50l blue plastic barrel, came back with some thumping sticks instead.
£2 for the lot.
