Anyone else have too many uncompleted jobs on the go?

My list must be longer than my arms & legs!

A typical example is today where I've done a mixture of jobs, But achieved very little it feels.

Lathe still needs the tumble reverse modifying. Mill is still in bits.
Shed door is still temporary.
The list goes on.

Work comes first
Then family time.

As it happens I'm planning on cleaning up the main castings on the mill tomorrow and lifting it on its stand.
Might actually be able to use it soon.

Sometimes but I have a massive cull and get em done or even get rid if you know you will never get round to it., it does your head in otherwise.

I don't think these short daylight hours help!

I also try not to make too much noise until 10am, So never really get an early start either.

Usually home by 5 couple of hours with the kids before bed then out with the laptop for quotes and invoices.
Can't ignore the family at the weekends and usually have running around to do preparing for the week ahead anyway. I have no free time. Lol

I’m currently 3years into doin a set of gates for the back of the house front gates been broke bout 2 year .
Customers stuff always comes ahead of me own hence how long it takes to do anything around the house . Other problem being every time I go to start building a workshop I get too busy to look at it

I go in the garage to avoid most TV ! Work pretty much 5 days a week in Canary wharf living in a hotel have done for 10 years so weekend time is precious with kids. Normally only grab a couple of hours a week to myself so I have ended up with a dedicated area for all the unfinished projects. Also have a big basket where the family places things that need fixing!

Be thankful it's soaps. Mine eventually realised that soaps were depressing, drama laden tat, (as I'd been saying for years), and stopped watching them. However, I hadn't realised that womens mentality works completely backwards, so now the current flavour of drivel is crap like those Chelsea/Essex crowd programmes, excessively camp blokes who make John Inman's character look butch etc. The soaps seem quite appealing now, in hindsight.

Mine is into "paranormal" and zombie films. Drives me to distraction, especially with the bull that these so called ghost hunters come up with and she believes every word, despite me pointing out the simple explanations.*
One of their regular bits of nonsense is "orbs" which are clearly insects reflecting the IR light and camera flare at other times. Oh and now you have me started.. The "spirit box". It is a downconverter from the 60KHz band to audio. It is designed to produce random words whenever a signal appears, which can then be "interpreted" by the idiots in charge of it. She isn't interested in my explaining to her how busy the 60KHz band is and that's just with bat's echo sounding.

*she went to Gloucester prison one very cold winter's night last year and the fact that her camera batteries died was taken as "evidence".

Can you tell how much it frustrates me yet?
