i'm not into lamps but one of you guys maybe interested in a little jug i have in the garage it has a narrow spout. i believe it's the proper filling jug for Bladon blowlamps i'll take a pic and post it. it has Bladon Birmingham and a number punched into it

The small bore tube is the especially puzzling aspect.

It looks like a "permanent match", put lighter fluid/petrol in the body and it goes up the wick, remove small cap and light wick, stays lit until snuffed by cap.

Jewellers blowpipe - meths in the wick, blow down a length of rubber tube that is attached the brass bit, it makes a small direct flame that can be directed onto small silver soldering jobs...

Thank you, confirms my first guess. Reminded me of glass blowing using a Bunsen in the chemistry lab.

I was missing the rubber tube in my thought process.

Anyone want it before it goes for charity shop/Freecycle/scrap?
