instructions on how to replace please I know there are only 3 nuts to undo but what system do I need to drain before removing the hot water or rads?

Thanks for any help need this asap as need to do tommorw as it's leaking water

Radiators. Make sure the valve is in the manual position when you drain and refill.

Hate to say this but if you have to ask....

You need to ensure the system is drained, replace the valve (B to cylinder) and refill. Then wire it

ok im not great when it comes to unsealed systems i have fitted bathrooms kitchens and new rads in every room in the house even replumbed half the house as they fitted 15mm pipe in a big house downstaris . i got in my last house and in this house a combi boiler and done lots of stuff

taking this out looks easy just want to know what to drain as there is 2 of these in the airing cubbard i assume (mother of all you know what )one is for the hot water and one is for the rads

It’s the heating circuit that needs draining

so if half drain the system that will be ok then

I always drain to the level it’s on, so if it’s first floor I drain the tank and the rads on that floor.

If you are confident you could use a freeze kit either side, gives you about 25 minutes

i got the 2 rubber bungs that fit in the tank in the loft and the return does this help ?

No, I wouldn’t recommend bungs for something like that as you may get an airlock and unexpected water

So you can have heating or hot water separate

so they are like an on or off type then the hot water comes from the boiler and when one opens it lets the water that way ?

Pretty much, when the programmer/stat is calling for heat the valve opens
