What's up with the valve. usually with those Myson valves the head goes faulty before the valve itself. the head is available as a spare part and if you don't want to go into the wiring centre you can use a Regin plug connector to join the new valve wiring to the old valve wiring (isolate first of course). undo the two screws that hold the head to the valve and just pull it off. if the valve is stuck, sometimes a wiggle with a pair of piers frees it off.

I can do them in me sleep. having said that I've been wiring and fixing them for 46 years so if I don't know now I never will

give me a laptop with a broken hard dive i can revove data reinstall new screen even on a 3ds console new cart port or new chip as big as new bathroom heating system pipe work only not gas install kitchen remove bricks in a wall and replace meny stuff i can turn my hand to most stuff

but this is more than i can do with my know how and it bugs me now i want to know how to do it

undo a couple of 22mm screws cant be that hard but dont want to flood a mates down stairs to under stand how to do it

He may even just be able to replace the synchronous motor. I've done this with my valve. It was a generic motor from toolstation for less than a tenner.

I don't think you can take that head apart like a Honeywell or its clones. I'm sure someone on here will though.

I’ve never swapped just a head or a motor, full valve as they fill with crap

went to do it today but hes very ill today so he said dont worry i temp put a bowl under neath it to catch the water for a few days untill he better with luck

still done a few jobs sorted hes bath and sink taps renewed the tap valves as the water was getting slow fixed the gate put a new emersion heating in the tank and only after 2 years he got the water fixed to the american fridge freeze big job as had to get a supply near where its needed and sorted some parsels for them

its very rare the complete valve goes mainly the little motor which is easily replaceable on most . some u have to replace the complete head . no draining down needed . if the head is taken off u can turn the valve by hand if it turns freely its fine if stiff replace the lot. the only other problem will be if its leaking from the seal and that's a complete unit heres the internals

its leaking from the base it going to need a conpleate unit the electrics are fine i might by a myson on the net and then sell the electrics on ebay to get him a bit of the money back
