Applied your knifing putty yet? Then it's spot putty for the air bubbles, prime, dust with black aerosol to show the low points... fun fun fun!

I noticed the connection box on the motor was cracked so I had to do something about it......



And I don't like the big ugly plastic thing.



So, I know you may think this is a bit ocd but I made a new one and it's colour coded to match.......

Oh I also drilled a hole in the belt cover so the overarm can be left in the machine but pushed back out of the way when using the vertical head.

I love reading this build, its truly inspirational for me. Attention to detail is nothing to be shy of, I hate plastic switchgear - a good clout and they break. My Harrison grinder has cast iron Prento gear, I thought it was ally at first but its galved iron!

Started wiring the control unit....


Got a nice little plug for the low voltage switches on the head...







The rotary switch under the DOL starter is to select run or jog mode

Milestone moment reached last night. Powered it up and it works superb.




@daleyd the programme on the inverter is sweeeet. Worked first time, loving it

Nearly there now. Got a locking screw to make for the head and going to make a wheeled Base for it to sit on so I can move it around. And it's got a niggling oil leak probably caused by an old hard oil seal on the table drive shafts.
