Note to self.... Let the part cool in the lathe before test fitting bearings
Got it out though with a bit of gentle persuasion.
Or if fitting them on a shaft, warm them up in an oven/oil bath/induction heater etc to expand the bore.best tip I got from someone for fitting bearings (might even have been here...I forget)
was stick the bearing in the freezer overnight or a few hours and it should drop right in, and as it warms up it will swell back to normal size and lock itself in...saves drifting it into place and no risk of damage...
