If you are going to put it in a box with a relay etc then I would mount a socket outlet into the box as well.
That way you could plug anything into it at will and not have to chop into cables .
You can use the heater in the winter and aircon in the summer.
Or the kettle so a cuppa is ready when you walk through the door!
I bought a GSM remote controller to switch a wee fan heater on at the workshop. The model number is CL1-GSM and works a treat. Dead simple to wire up. I got a free pay as you go sim from Tesco. Simply send a text to turn it in and then a text to turn it off and it works which I'm always amazed when I wire something.

I was looking at one of them for the boat. I have looked as so many now i forgot which i have chose to go with. Mainly for turning the LPG heating on before we get there so its nice and warm. Aswell as security and a bilge alarm. For these we need a reply text back also so we know the items ahve be either turned on or as with a bilge alarm it is working.
I will see what i found incase other are interestedjust dont hold your breath a si have so much crap saved on files here and there.
