I bought a new mitre saw and stand yesterday, I sold the Toylander I built a couple of years ago for decent money and decided the money should go on tools, I've got a new kitchen to build and a load of framing to do. Saw arrives in the morning.

Yeah..it sounds good but time will tell, I will start a full project thread if I get it from collection to whatever ends up happening to it, I don't want to clutter this one"one bang every lampost" model?

These things, like saw benches etc are great, but they all take up so much storage space, similar to engine hoists and other such things.

How far do the extension go out from the centre?
Got me thinking now
1500mm from the centre to the outer rollers, 3000mm overall length.

Hi Burdekin, it's the GCM 12 GDL, just got the stand assembled and the saw on it. First impressions are excellent but I have only made half a dozen cuts, finish is like glass and it has huge capacity. It has a double knuckle joint instead of the usual bars so you can sit it up to a wall, perfect for the workshop. I shall be selling my Elu RAS soon, I will be sorry to see it go as I have put a posh new Atkinson Walker blade on it and it has a dado set but I don't need or have the space for two saws.

Wow that's a lot of saw and in another league to my budget. I saw the post for the ebay 20% deal so just got the Evolution 255mm rage3.
Enjoy your saw.

You won't regret the 255mm rage, though - night and day compared to the smaller rage I had.
