It's ok mate but it would be nice to have something a little nicer to use , like vertical up I can get it singing but little less spatter to clean up would be nice. Some of it looks a bit hefty for pulse really. I’d be firmly in spray for that.
I see the esab in the corner there woody. Is it past it’s best now mate.
Ah but which "bit"And sometimes a bit of this.View attachment 124764

What finish does it give? Have you any examples?Root arc is lovely around a pipe. Zero spatter, excellent gap bridging ability and very easy to control.
Depends on the wall thickness woody. If it’s hefty chassis tube like I’d imagine it is in your case mate I’d be whipping round them in spray no questions. Pulse is a lovely process but I prefer it on thinner gages with steelGetting a nice weld around pipe is also good,
I weld a lot in spray round pipe although I know you perhaps shouldn't.
Yeah I agree mate. Spray transfer for in position stuff only. It doesn’t end well with gravity fighting you.You can’t spray solid wire v up, well I have never been able to.
+1 the only other times I use spray are multi run overhead and running around pipe some timesYeah I agree mate. Spray transfer for in position stuff only. It doesn’t end well with gravity fighting you.
Had to do that all the time in Alu with standard Mig over the years, not the easiest but managed OK usually with a whipping technique but with Pulse or Superpulse it is a breeze.Yeah I agree mate. Spray transfer for in position stuff only. It doesn’t end well with gravity fighting you.
TBH I don't need gizmos to make my welding better, I can drive a machine without a computer controlling the conditions, it's just a super smooth machine I'm after.
