3 phase 125 Amp per phaseIIRC both those machines are 3 phase. What supply do you have available?
Might be struggling a wee bit with such a poor supply3 phase 125 Amp per phase
Ha ha ha. Enough to run a 1200 amp sub arc then.3 phase 125 Amp per phase
I've not used either machine, I've always had esab and murex plus now ive got a oerlikon they are ok but want something a bit nicer.Ha ha ha. Enough to run a 1200 amp sub arc then.
Lorch vs Ewm eh. This should be interesting. I’d imagine they are very similar and would base my decision on warranty, local support and the best deal of the day.
I'm up for suggestions, it has to be a 4 roller wire feed but smooth is what I'm after because most of what I do is out of position and an erratic machine burns your headNever had/used a Lorch but do have an EWM Phoenix 330 Puls (second hand) and it is superb. Not the machine you are looking at however but I would imagine the quality/performance would be on par with anything in the same class.
What welders do they do in the range I'm after? Both great brands. Both have reps on the forum so I’m sure they’ll be along soon.
I’m gonna sound like a broken record but have you considered the GYS industrial range? The promig / magys range is top class.
Go inverter mate if this is a requirement. Infinite voltage settingsBe nice if the volts went low
A demo would be good , I've only used pulse on older machines, the only thing that concerns me with synergic machines is the ones I've used the wire feed out of the machine isn't always spot on for the job at hand but maybe things have moved on?You'd never guess Tom is an EWM dealer too.
As said, who is best placed locally to support this machine sale?
I'd advise a demo. At your budget you could buy a second hand pulse mig and never look back in terms of arc control.
Yes the Phoenix I have is 4 roll, smooth as silk and synergic lines are good stock but immensely tweakable to suit your individual style.I'm up for suggestions, it has to be a 4 roller wire feed but smooth is what I'm after because most of what I do is out of position and an erratic machine burns your head
I only ever use mine on Alu and as said the stock synergic lines are good but I can tweak every aspect of them to get the way I wanted and now it is perfect. All I need to do now is wind the wire feed to suit, it doesn't thickness/position etc, always perfect, just the operator still needs to catch up a bit thoughA demo would be good , I've only used pulse on older machines, the only thing that concerns me with synergic machines is the ones I've used the wire feed out of the machine isn't always spot on for the job at hand but maybe things have moved on?

Expensive new and I suppose kind of expensive second hand as well but I have no regrets at all about buying it. Got mine from @Jim Davey and it was like new, only 20 odd hrs of welding time even though it is about 10yrs old, think it has 50 or so hrs on it now
