Not sure if this is an acquisition or not. I have just got a cheap transit in need of an MOT, which it duly failed due to rust, obviously. While hacking the step about it became clear the sill was also a bit suspect. I've patched up a couple of these for friends and found an outer sill in the left overs and an inner for the other side (that I dont need (yet). So I'd been hacking at rust and working out the best way to patch it, and looking for something to make a new inner out of, and right at the bottom of the pile an new inner sill was hiding. This makes me very happy and I reckon its 'acquisition' off the day.

It's the hoarding streak kicking in.
For a Southerner, you could give a Yorkshireman a run for their money. you certainly havent.. thats 16 kg of out of date coffee....20 kilos of out of date coffee beans.
Unfortunately I don't like coffee.

Was out with a friend today, he wanted some spares for a vintage Vespa scooter.
Or, as I jokingly said, all the parts needed to make one. It is that bad. But that's another story.
I saw this, under a pile of seats and rubber floor mats, it needed to be re homed. I asked what they were planning to do with it.
"They replied, that heap of junk, give us £30 and take it away."
Lego man and beer can for scale.
it is a No14 Bradson Hand operated bench pillar drill.
Side view.
It needs a dam good clean and oil.
But I am not allowed to play with it. I was only allowed to check it is working.
Mrs TYA is buying it for me for Christmas.

Oh yes my mate brought more rusty parts and another engine, that's 3 engines now.
This one turns over at least, but has a cracked case.

Got these quilted canvas overalls today, you can lay in mud with these and not get wet , the last ones I had lasted over ten years. A friend brought them back from Urmerika for me

I love wet weather gear, working outside in a howling gale, toasty and dry inside (even better if your workmates don't have any because 'it's probably not going to rain today' !
