Where were you back in those times, I was raised in the Broch. And co-incidentally, my current neighbour in New Aberdour.

I didn't feel I could ask for help though as I'd had a trailer leaf spring snap completely while carting wheat the previous day which was a massive faff. And the week before I'd got a puncture while towing the combine header on a busy A road between the temporary traffic lights that reduced the road to one lane. Tyre disintegrated on me as I was trying to get onto the verge. Ended up blocking the road completely for an hour and a half.
Might not sound like much, but when you're 16 and you're 2 weeks into your first job its a bit different.
Superb beach (if you like sand, cliffs, rock pools, little caves, etc, and can manage without crowds and candyfloss) . Used to take our kids there a lot in the early 1980s when living in Turriff. Farmhouse and beach (36 acres) have just come up for sale, but no use to us as we now live 200 miles away. https://www.galbraithgroup.com/prop...w-aberdour-fraserburgh-aberdeenshire-ab43-6hr.....And co-incidentally, my current neighbour in New Aberdour.
we have a meteor engine from a tank that threw a rod whilst running away down a steep hill, which then proceeded to rattle around the crank case in bits and wreak absolute havoc. next time it surfaces ill take picturesI remember somebody "freewheeling" a MKI Transit with the V4 engine down a steep hill then dropping the clutch at the bottom - it broke the crank !
