That's not the best bit.. I just got back from the idiots house. He phoned me and said he had installed the box and it don't work!!! £60 faffin pound on a box and its not working!!! I replied it was working fine when it was on my bench !!! To prove a point I said I would come over and see what your bumping about..so I arrived at his place. I put it on axle stands and started it. Put it first gear..sorted. Put it in neutral. Sorted. Put it reverse. Sorted. Engaged the two wheel drive. Sorted. All is working.. took it off stands and tried it up and down his garden. Sorted..whats the faffing problem then I asked !!!! He said when it's in gear and going he can't stop it...take it out of faffing gear then!!! That's the idea of a gearbox !!! I explained to the cabbage that in 1941 they didn't have a conventional clutch and diff. They had a slip belt that acted as a clutch. It's in permanent one wheel drive until you depress the leaver and engage two wheel drive. You slip the belt via the leaver and it stops...sorted.. the div had the gear cable set up wrong.. he don't like the slip belt..so my suggestion was to remove the faffing great pulley that's on the engine doing about 3000000 rpm .Put a 100mm centrifugal clutch on it. Run a cable to the engine throttle. That way you can control the drive by means of rpm. Sorted !!!! He apologised!!! I said get ya faffing facts right before bumping ya gums..and do ya faffing research a out the item !!!! I then left. What a total swear word!!!! Unbelievable!!!
