Why? It's a responsive webapp mate - it'll work fine on a mobile up to a 4K screenNow all we need is an Android App![]()
Aye but what if the internet goes down when The Donald presses the big red buttonWhy? It's a responsive webapp mate - it'll work fine on a mobile up to a 4K screen![]()
Well done what would be involved in getting a permanent url for this. Thanks Chris appreciate it.
Remainder should now be outputted if you'd care to re-try.
Considering a pictorial layout of the cuts as well as the textual list but I'm not sure as to its usefulness?
Hosting + a URL purchased.Well done what would be involved in getting a permanent url for this.
Surely when simply cutting lengths then the only benefit would be if it took into account multiple lengths of stock...
Problem with an app is that it ties you to a product family. So if I make an Android one then I have to do an Apple one and a Microsoft one. It's not that it's difficult to do it's just really, really time-consuming and it makes it more "work" than fun IYSWIMBesides, I wouldn't bother charging - who on earth is gonna pay for it? You'd be my only customer and you're fae Aberdoom so I'm never getting cash oot of ye

Things I'm considering:
- Titivated output on an image or similar. For those who like pictures with their numbers.
- Some kind of tick box or mark next to each cut so you can physically tally when you've done the cut IRL.
- Nicer print support, that will let you hit Ctrl + P et al to print to whatever. This also allows pdf copies easily with a pdf print driver (pre-installed on Win10 (and 7?) I think).
Paul - Unfortunately it's a client/server architecture so the client you've saved to the desktop still needs to talk to the backend over the internet. Try unplugging the network and/or switching off wireless - it should cease to work and timeout after whatever default number of seconds your browser is set to.
It can be done as a standalone web page but it's a lot more work and a lot less fun![]()
To be honest Chris, as long as the values are all the same units it makes no odds at all. The suffix (mm, cm, in, ft etc) is just tacked on to the output of each number. It forms no part of the calculation.Would it complicate the maths & programming if the blade dimension was always imputed as a mm entry whatever unit was chosen from the drop down.

How comfortable are you at sideloading on your android device?I am from Carnoustie and workshop in Arbroath and yes I would
Ha ha no probs and I am not from Aberdeen anyway
I always buy Apps if I find them useful so you would have had no probs getting the money from me, heck I even tried to get a guy to make a Pro version of a Tide App so I could buy and get rid of the adverts, he declined so I loaded an ad blocker![]()
