You need the higher CO2 content to ensure you get sufficient fusion on thicker materialLight is fine for heavy stuff provided you run downhand, the high argon content means you will get into spray transfer at a lower voltage than you would with 80/20 or 75/25. The lower argon content in universal and heavy allows higher voltage whilst maintaining short circuit transfer for work out of position.
