I quite like drilling, as long as im using good bits.
Most was done with a mag drill, but the 14s on the handrials i pistol drilled, 6mm pilot, then a nice 14mm dormer straight through
I bought some angle plates on ebay from a guy with a brake that big, a absolutel monstrosity and you just stood there quietly in its presence, but Id not bothered to check the dimensions too closely, and one of the angle plates turned out to be too big for me to use, so hoofed the two "smaller" ones into the rangie and left him the big un to resell for free...
Well, its back from the galvanisers, and our lorry delivered it to site Saturday, ready to install today.
I spent the last three days on another sit last week, so never had a chance to check it all over before it was delivered.
Bolted the majority of it together on the floor, then stood it up with a forklift and chain.
Got it into position and leveled up and bolted down by dinner time.
Started putting the handrails on......
No, the window wasnt an issue, i pointed it out when i measured up. Its only a workshop through there, and to be honest, the place this is, a window that only partially opens is good! lol
Seems the bermuda triangle has stretched out to reach the galvanisers. 2 pieces missing, that chunk of handrail, and a piece of angle that holds the top threshold tread.
