Hi all,
30 years after my first weld in my dad's factory when I was 5 I've decided it's time to buy myself a little machine for a hobby.
I've got my eyes on a small MIG welder but looking for some advice before I go for it.
I don't plan on doing anything big with this. Maybe build a fence for my front garden, touch up a few bits here and there on my cars but generally just make random things for fun.
I've had differing opinions from people so far so hoping to get the correct advice from you bunch of professionals!
This was the sort of thing I've had my eye on...

Advice so far is "no way", "avoid" etc but this is generally from people with limitless money who do a lot of welding. I appreciate there's probably some truth in what they're saying but for someone like me wanting a hobby machine on a low budget is it really that bad?
Any other suggestions or advice greatly appreciated
Greg
