I want to fit twin front discs to the front end of the triton project i have , i was going to use a yamaha xs650 front wheel (spoked) , does anyone know if a second disc can be fitted to a single disc hub ?
I was told that some of the xs hubs were made to be twin disc for the european market , but only fitted with a single disc for some markets like america. What i would like to know is to tell them apart as some of the earlier hubs were purely single disc.
I've not seen any of these but read this and see if it's relevant to what you want. If your hub has a plastic cover on the opposite side to your disc you may be in luck. The ones I've seen at the shop were definitely single side only but it looks like they depend on the year and country of origin.
yep the triumph route mite help u can vary the disc size between early carb models, and should bolt onto the same wheel setup but beware the are a weighty wheel so suspension set up may need lookin at.
Thanks for the replies, spoked wheels are a thing of the past really,i was going to use a set of xs650 or sr500 mag wheels, they are the right diameter (19") and look pretty good, but i really like spoked wheels, i didn't know about the honda wheels, i'll search on fleabay and see what i can find.
