I've been on the throne and come up with an idea thats been bugging me for ages.
Its to do with cnc and the gantry axis and the spindle axis.
Basiclly these both require long wires going from the stepper motors to their respective stepper drivers to which catapillar track is needed to protect the wiring and also keep it from snagging on the axis travel ie back&forth.
Maybe I've hit on a unique idea to do away with long wires and instead of what wiring is required I will have them fixed.
four 8mm rods on each side of the bed and sliding carbon brush box that slide along those rods, the rods will be isolated from any metal? and will be drilled and tapped for connecting wiring up from the stepper drivers pulse outlets, basically the rods will carry the pulse data or electrical +or- voltage to serve the gantry and spindle axis stepper motors.
I'll attempt this on me build and see what happens? I don't think there should be a problem but you know its pretty unique.
