Interesting stuff, I have read up on the Eastern Front, monstrous stuff
Have a look at 'A writer at War, the war diaries of Vassilli Grossman' edited and translated by Anthony Beevor. Grossman was in Stalingrad when the Germans attacked, and followed the front all the way to Berlin armed with a pen. An amazing book, and he survived despite telling the truth about the Soviet regime.

I looked through those as well. And to think the world stood a watched while it all happened again to some extent when the old Yugoslavia broke up in 91-95
Religion: If it hasn't been the start of a war/conflict it sure as hell kept it going.

some very,very powerful pictures in that lot,find it hard to say anything after looking at only a few chapters out of all of them will look at the rest later

some very good pictures there but also some very disturbing ones like shooting innocent children and women, there was some very sick minded people in the war i dont know how any man could do that to a woman a child that stuff makes my blood boil
It's the nature of mankind. These atrocities still occur on an almost daily basis but on a smaller scale. Whatever mania, junta, following etc will resort to anything to maintain itself in power. It only takes one individual of that nature to implement the infrastructure of oppression and torture. As long as man exists these things will happen, but religion tends to be the catalyst. We need to shed this primitive belief nonsense in order to move on at all.
