Hi all,
Not sure if this is in the right section so mods feel free to move if needed.
I took a call today about a renovation job where an old building is being turned into a hotel. On the windows at the front of the building are fifteen balustrades which are to be sand blasted and repaired by yours truly. The customer has stated that some components will have to be bought which won’t be wrought iron but is also trying to source a blacksmith to make wrought iron components to keep with the original iron work.
Not having worked on wrought iron before, is there anything I need to consider when carrying out repairs/welding wrought to wrought or wrought to steel?
Which process is best MMA or MIG?
Thanks
