its a tax on the greedy,I used to spend some time reporting them and gave up once I realised that FB don't care. The scams are pretty transparent but sadly will take in the vulnerable.

I agree, very comfortable only thing puts me off one is the bills when they go wrong, or the cost to buy one under warranty. Ive graduated from looking after these things my self to at least one under warranty! So any pick up with a 5 year warranty will do nicely thanks. If I want to spanner about I have a defender too!I never saw the appeal of a range rover until I hurt my back (or hurt it more anyway) and had a go in one
I used to get up in the morning not too bad... by the time I'd driven my car to work I was crippled
sitting upright really helps
A few years back there was some sort of scam where the buyer sent more money than the price actually was, for some reason or other, someone collected the car/bike and then they 'took back' the money from your bank. I never really understood how that worked, or even if it did. Nobody can just 'take' money from your back account, especially when I immediately move it into a saving account.....
The other common one is that they will show you a shot from their phone showing the money has been paid. Don't believe it until it shows as arrived on your phone.By paying from a hacked/fraudulent account.
So scammer uses stolen money to pay you (for example using a stolen credit card or forged check to pay into an account and then immediately pay out from that account), you give them the bike/car, a short while later the bank reverses the transfer because it was fraud and your bank pulls the money back from your account.
Of course it goes without saying you should *NEVER* pay anyone back any "over payment", because then not only will you have lost the item, lost the money you were "paid" for it, you will also have lost the money you "refunded" them as well.

I guess it's like all scams , it only takes a small % to fall for it and it's a winner. I bet some gullible person will send the money to ensure he gets the 'bargain'. If not ,on to the next scam.I'm looking for a digger at the moment. Anything that is too good to be true is a brand new seller and weird numbers like £4380. Its every other post almost! Thing is, i would always go and collect - as you would with a car - so its hard to figure how they would actually acheive their scam!
One is the escrow.....item is in the Shetland isles or somewhere remote, but will be transported free. Just put money into a bent escrow and say bye bye to it.I guess it's like all scams , it only takes a small % to fall for it and it's a winner. They get reported but not taken down! click on the sellers name and up pops 10-20-30 more cars for sale but the background is different in each picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I fancy a new car, I've got a range rover sport right now
I quite like it, but I bought it from a mate after I hurt my back and needed a better sitting position but.... he screwed me over a bit so it's always left a bad taste in my mouth
girlfriend has a a hybrid golf, and it's nice, really really nice to drive
so I've been looking at full electric or a hybrid
a hybrid range rover would suit me well, I've used mine to tow stuff around a bit, tow a van out of mud etc.
Facebook isn't my normal go to for stuff like this but I thought I'd have a look
and WOW every other search result is a scam (or looks like one anyway)
I'm shocked they don't get found or reported/removed faster
I was looking at apartments rentals, for my daughter, some woman reckons she had two, good price, need a deposit in advance as there is lots of interest blah blah.....I was looking at a sthil hedge trimmer on Facebook the other day. There was a few pics of it and even a video of it running. It was a 2 hour drive away but he was offering to deliver by courier. I was about to contact him until I noticed an American electrical outlet on the wall in the background of one of the pics.
Bought from this seller. Would not hestitate to buy again. Top class. As @knighty knows i found a laptop but after a bit of research it looks too much like a scam.
