i dought that liner is anything special, there are enough cheep lanmower engines out there where it looks like the cylinder is just plain alumium and the last long enough, why would they have gone to town on a compressor it's getting less stick and ptfe is probaly going to do all the wearing anyway

Briggs & Stratten tried something like Nikasil. Blighted their sales for a while and they needed to state on the labels that the engine had a cast iron liner. I had a small genset of the era. If one let the oïl level drop a bit... fresh block and piston needed.

Edit: Just looked at the other posts. Is Nickasil a chrome like plating? Porsche used (still do?) that on their ally cylinders. The B&S fiasco was a silicon treated ally block.
I had left the B&S unit on a building site, as there was a problem with the mains supply. When they bu++erd that up, I replaced it with a SRI Lister. Can't kill those with a club.
