Wotsit Called?

I'm going to be casting life size Clumber Spaniels in stone. I've created a plinth that clamps on the underside of the mould and I want to be able to easily release it multiple times. I's made of wood (sorry) and I'm looking for the fastener that is a threaded rod (say M8) at one end, but a wood screw thread (helix) at the other.

Is there a (clean!) "proper" name for this type of fixing?

Never seen one of them things. A bridge between wood and metal you could say. Another of one of them useless bits of information thats worth storing for that one time when it will be needed in some distant future.
