Evri are great, slow but thats to be expected. They were one of the first to give a delivery time frame and usually it was acurate.
I'm also waiting on DX, the shop RadmoreTucker use them. Last time was ok but theres no delivery estimate and the tracking is rubbish. Mine has not arrived.
(Nuneaton would appear to be opposite end of the country to me).
Now I tried to phone them, automated IVR, gave it my tracking number and it started trying to rearrange for another day. I shouted at it a few times and hung up!
Tomorrow I will call RT and let them know I wont be using DX again.

DX are about the only ones that will take parcles over 1.2m
Get quite a few deliveries from them (metal lengths mostly) with very few problems.
Although I'm Somerset and the depot is only about 15mins from me so i normally seem to be one of the first drops.
Might well be that they load the big/long stuff last to get it out of the way first.
Ie, your little parcles may get put in first so if the driver runs out of time it's yours that are waiting until tomorrow..

This one was collected at 12:20 so delivered to me in under 24hrs..
It's virtually impossible to contact the main number if you have a problem but search for the number for your local depot.
Mine are good at answering the phone but I expect they vary..

I have had items from them delivered without issues by DX, I'm not far from the Nuneaton depot though!
Evri on the other hand mange to lose or take an eternity to deliver, saying they have made multiple attempts and failed even though our Cctv shows no sign of a delivery vehicle!
I avoid most things being shipped with Evri!!

I think all of them depend greatly on your local delivery driver, but the system plays a big part in transparently showing whats going on or hiding it (Royal mail).
Couriers with good transparent systems are Evri, DPD, Yodel, Parcelforce. That doesnt mean they are good, had to chase a DPD driver once to get my £300 phone that he had marked as delivered and was about to drive off with.
Similar for Parcelforce and tig welder!

DHL had the site set up in such a useless way to get you to phone them, a premium rate number! ( this was back in 2018 or so, after the law changed on premium rates!). I will not use them. They still owe me about a tenner and one day I will get it back.

DX used to be good and used to be quite difficult to access - a bit like AmEx, then they 'caught up' with everyone else... Their prime market in UK used to be moving solicitors etc. document packs around, which they did quite well.

Evri delivery drivers are self-employed.
They only get paid when they deliver a package.
But, they get ear-ache if they don't deliver when they are supposed to so, if they run out of time, have to pick the kids up, or just don't have any other parcels going near your remote address they'll just tick 'attempted delivery' on the pda to keep the computer happy..
Used to get a milage allowance but the drivers kept ticking the 'attempts button to claim it so you need to have been there a while to be Self-Employed-Plus' and get that now..
We send most of our parcels (20 a week?) using Evri, and I have to say that most get there without any delay or drama. Been a coiple of delays over the momnths, but no complete losses - just as well, as the
help menu is atrocious, and it's impossible to get to a human being.

It's quite strange the difference people experience with couriers in different areas,
Round here DPD, Royal mail, FedEx and UPS are superb, the driver for DPD will even ring me if he has a parcel headed my way so I can organise someone to let him in and receive it.

Yeah I know, a mate worked for them for a week and then gave up, he said the amount of deliveries they expected was mental, and had done form 6am until 9pm trying to get shot of the ones he was assigned.

I think most multi drop are self employed? Some give a branded van but others you have to hire the van. I was going to try it myself, about 10 or 15 years ago! except they wanted me to hire the van up front and I dont generally want to be paying money before I can work.

I had a pump delivered by dx, my customer wanted it asap so I paid extra for before 12 delivery. The van arrived before 12 but no pump it wasn’t even in the van. The driver told me it will be here a bit later in a truck.
I complained to the supplier about non delivery then had a telephone call from dx claiming that the driver had attempted delivery but I’d not been in and it would be delivered the next day. I offered to send the video from my cctv of me and the driver searching through his van for my delivery. I was then told they weren’t sure where it was as it should have been on the van. It finally arrived at 4pm upside down on a pallet. The new driver claimed he wasn’t aware it was a before 12 delivery.

Our normal Evri driver (Phil uses his car) and is brilliant, turns up on time, is careful and will go the extra mile to hide the parcel if your not in, or leave it next door. A genuinely nice guy.
The general Evri van drivers are *hi* , late or just don't turn up.
DX have delivered parcels but I'm not impressed either.

Well the DX one was delivered just now. I have CCTV motion activated so seen what it was anyway and he had it in his had. So all being well he did leave it somewhere sensible as the CCTV cut off.
I am also away to a work construction awards night later. Hotel, meal and drinks etc included and good craic. So won't be able to play with my new Stihl stuff until tomorrow

DX delivered 20l of gear oil to next door, their tracking led me to it,
the second drum never arrived
DHL managed to lozenge a caraven oven that was well packed, and then bring it back, never got a refund,
our local Evri guy is a great bloke, his stand in last week was dreadful,

DX was know in the trade (solicitors) as the Document eXchange and as you say, was used almost exclusively by solicitors as a sort of private postal service, the firm I worked for used to send really important stuff Royal Mail Special Delivery rather than put it in the DX pouch.

I bought 2 off 12v mobility scooter batteries - to be delivered by DX. Their "tracking" website told me they were delivered. No they were not. Got in touch with the vendor who told me they had been delivered - 2 miles away! Got on my bike and found the alleged delivery address. Nothing. Following day DX arrived with my batteries. Too late, I said. I have replacements. Then the next day DX collected the original batteries and sent them back to the vendor. DX are a shower of .... as is their so called tracking facility. Give me EVRI, Royal Mail or DPD any day.
