Sadly miles away!Where abouts are you?
If you are anywhere near Frome I've got either Beta or Bott that needs a new home as I've only really got the space for one of them!
That depends on what you call normal tool storage, this just one of my small four draw roll cabs (I have 4 in all, 2 small/2 larger), and this one's just for my portapower bits, there's also 3 or 4 hand pumps on the shelf as well.You say that '170kg total load limit' like it's not alot? Or am I mis reading your post?
If youre just putting tool in each drawer thats over over 20kg per drawer which is IMO quite alot!
Yes if you're filling the drawers with massive heavy stuff then it's not alot but for normal tool storage thats plenty.
I'm going to get kickback allegations at this rate, but Machine Mart currently have a price crash on their Clarke drawers.![]()
same here , bought very second hand , pulled all roolers out cleaned and greased , scruffy but works a treat .

@fizzy would palletise/ship easily....Sadly miles away!
I would say the earlier(old) canadian made snap on are hugely better made than later american ones , was offered a newish one and in comparison it was like a cheap biscuit tin , did nt buy that one !The Lista cabinets are good for about 200kg per drawer, makes the rest including snapon look a bit lame.

I do like cabinets with some sort of positive latching mechanism on the drawers rather than just relying on a detent to hold them shut
I have a BIG Sealey Premier roll cab, its huge, actually really well made and probably up there with older Snap On stuff. I bought it second hand from a truck mechanic and 6yrs on its still coping with all the heavy stuff I've got stashed in it. The drawer latching mechanisms work really well

Double sliders on the deep drawers and lots of stuff in each of them

Locking mechanism, lift the handle to open the drawer

There is a Clarke Pro top box sat on top of it, bought S/H from a forum member around 6yrs ago and its holding up well but is better quality that the new Clarke Pro stuff
Also have a Clarke Pro roll cab, step up chest and top box. It about 7 or 8yrs old, still working fine apart from the detents on a couple of the drawers aren't doing their job anymore and occasionally the drawers roll open. They are quite heavily loaded though.
Then I have 3x Halfords Advanced drawer units, these hold all the bits n pieces for my lathe and mill, 2 are 5yrs old and 1 is less than 1yr, OK so far
But, I don't actually roll any of them around, just don't have the space to move them so they stay where they are.
My Costco tool boxes are 42" Kirkland ones an earlier model and the lastest model they sold. The earlier model is better built....but most large boxes get rolled into position and stay there.
I'm wondering if the Trump Tariffs have made it uneconomical to ship the US boxes over here, that's why they're selling Hilka boxes?
