Hi guys.
Trying to make space here is a total joke. Amongst this lot I am trying to tidy up and get organised as I have got a large flypress. A power hacksaw going in here...oh and a pillar drill and lathes soon...think I am going to come unstuck some what...

Is it practical/do you have space, to put the compressor outside in a small compressor house?

The power hacksaw itself will be quite large but you also need space either side of it to use. A good think about the layout is going to be required and or an extension.

No, just lateral thinking . Cut a 'saw-height' cat flap in the side of the shed and you're good to go.

You must of seen my workshop door at work. Simple but it works. Saw is about 2 foot from door as it only normally get used for short cuts, anything longer just open the flap and stick a stand outside.

I built my turbo bike in a 7 foot by 10 foot shed, and I had a lathe, pillar drill, band saw and welder in there too. You got loads of space there mate get things up off the floor.

I am planning on a new build later as have a long garden...once I get organise in here most of it will fit....sort of

Keep an eye on what you have in your shed too. If you haven't used something for a year and have no plans to, sell it or bin it. Its all too easy to turn your shed into a storage dump. Also, keep the wimmens out of the shed, they don't see a workspace, they see a place to dump things from the house they don't like.

When I was growing up in a small mining village in South Wales, the local coffin maker's shed was so small, he had to take a coffin out to turn it around. The one in the nearest town was so large it had a narrow gauge railway in it. They took the wood from the tree, all the way through to lining, brass plaque and full undertaking services.
Locals, with typical black humour, used to say, with the potential of a big mining accident you need access to industrial quantities of coffins.
