One more question...
I am er...terribly disorganized but it's not entirely my fault. You see - my workshop's previous owner also had an ironmongery business and he sold me the workshop with all the knick knacks which he brought along (from time to time) from the ironmongery store to the workshop for his own needs.
Now I am trying desperately to organise all the left over "stuff" which I - here's the hard dilemma - don't wish to part with ...cos one day they might come in useful but on the other hand don't really need at hand right now. A lot of this stuff includes a monstrous collection of:
- chipboard screws (all sizes),
- self tapping scres (all sizes),
- assortment of nuts & bolts (impossible to list)
- left over paints - 80% brand new, never opened.
- plumbing stuff, ranging from stop cocks, ball cocks, water pipes & fittings,
- drainage stuff - gutters, pipes, elbows, T's etc..
- electrical stuff - from fuses to wall sockets, including wiring reels.
- odd pieces of metal stock, (left overs) steel, copper, aluminium & a bit of stainless
- huge glass panes - all sorts of designs, thickness & colours
- plywood, chipboard etc
- wooden planks ranging from 6ft long to 13ft - different thickness
- 4x2's, 4x4's ...up to 5 large 9x9" timber beams (13 ft long)
- large selection of delicate wooden rods for picture frames
- a small sailing boat 10ft long (mirror 10)
- vehicle parts for a Fiat... uhm... something - both mechanical (dampers, window winders, wiper blades, door handles, external mirrors) and electrical (old stereos, electric aerials, fuses, head beams, etc)
- one friggin heavy Fiat gearbox
- one large drum of tar
- one up & over sheet metal garage door (ain't light either)
- steel cables, shackles, pulleys, bottle screws (also in stainless)
- padlocks, some without keys...but also an array of keys both cut & uncut which might match
- empty jerrycans, assorted.
- can't remember anymore...but there's definately more Looks like I could open a store myself.
I must admit - it is quite a large workshop but with all this stuff, not much space left for me...and then to make matters worse, I brought in my own tools - large anvil, large pillar drill, cut off machine, propane forge, tube bender, flatbar bender, clamps, workbench, welding set, power tools, bla bla bla...
What me gonna do? It's hard to part with stuff!!!
Any bright ideas apart from explosives?
