Hi, i was wondering if anyone had experience getting a small workshop insured.
my workshop is basically a converted stable on the end of a row of used stables, its all block construction the roof is i think asbestos corrugated stuff, i've got decent locks on the door and i never bring anyone i don't know/trust up there.
I will be registering as a ltd company in the next few weeks so thought id get everything secure/organised.
The owners live right near the stables and the whole site is fairly secure.
i wondered if anyone else had been in a similar situation? i've been assuming that no insurance would touch it without alarms and what not, i don't have acetylene cylinders (and don't plan on getting any) but i do have argosheild, will have co2/oxy/propane
and i was thinking about getting all my power tools/welders PAT tested as most of my equipment is old, a lot of hand me downs that have done well but i could do with knowing there safe, and id of thought being able to say everything's tested should help me out.
I'm going to give them a ring to get a quote anyway but it would be good to know how it works from your point of view/if its worth it (my life is in there so i assume it is)
any info would be great,
cheers,
josh.
