They became really prominent when i was still an apprentice in the cabinet shop. My chisels i purchased from them, Ashley isles mk2 they seemed so expensive at the time, but they are exceptional they have cut many many dovetails. Now they sit in my tool chest

In fairness they offer only high-end products so they can charge as they like


I wont mention the KTM cap i bought out of being to embarrassed to say no after seeing the price. Its not even a nice cap

I looked up his website, the level of detail that goes into his planes is very impressive and based up in Lairg in the Scottish Highlands.

If I was paying that much for a plane I’d want one that could carry me and a few passengers to a foreign land, not something to take 1/4” off the bottom of the kitchen door
