Allen Millyard is a very good example of this, you would think he had a massive w/shop full of kit. No he has a hacksaw some files, and a welder
Nothing changed there then Wasn't he something in the nuclear industry? He does have a student lathe and a boring machine,
He is currently making a six cylinder z1 motor,
I agree. Not enough muck to be a much used shop. Bit of a waste. Can’t be real, far too nice

Very clever guy has done some cracking stuff over the years.Allen Millyard has two small sheds it seems one with a work bench and lathe and the other with a small milling machine. He is on the telly nearly everyday in a Henry Cole programme called "Find it, fix it, flog it". Allen served his time as an instrument maker, he was fixing a clock from an old car and said it was the sort of work that was right up his street.
I worked in a sheet metalworks when I was a teen and then later a hydraulic ram manufacturers and both were dark, dingy and dismal to work in. No-one thought that they had a stake in cleaning up. They were no more productive just that everything was filthy.

I don’t remember you working for me , messy yes but dismal is a bit harshQuite right. My mate run a small engineering/fab shop and it's extremely tidy. Whomever uses a tool puts it back and whomever makes a mess cleans it up. I used to be a mucky pup but trained myself to put tools away every night irrespective of whether I was back in the workshop the next day or not, just found it easier to know where everything will be rather than where you think you have put it. All upside down atm having a major reorganising of the yard but should be back to my ocd self soon.
